Specialist Sports and Gaming Agency Expands Creative Capabilities and Introduces New Visual Identity Built Around the “HIT SQUARE” Attitude
Specialist sports, gaming, and technology agency Square in the Air has launched a comprehensive corporate rebrand to celebrate its 20th anniversary in business. Founded in 2006, the agency has built its reputation on PR, social content, video, design, sponsorships, and affiliate marketing. The latest brand evolution follows the successful establishment of its dedicated Creative department, expanding its core remit into brand strategy, identity design, and major campaigns for operators, B2B suppliers, and international sports federations.
Led by Chief Creative Officer Nick Withersby and Chief Client Officer Hugh Johnson, alongside Creative Director Ellen Kerbey, the rebrand features a dynamic new logo, updated color palette, revamped design system, and a redesigned website. The entire transformation is anchored by a new core attitude: “HIT SQUARE.”
Leadership Insights on the Milestone Rebrand
Reflecting on the agency’s evolution and the philosophy driving the rebrand, Chief Creative Officer Nick Withersby explained:
“Build a distinctive, easy-to-understand brand idea that’s unmistakably yours. Then light a fire under it with messages designed to be remembered and identities meant to stick. That’s what we’ve done for ourselves.”
Highlighting the agency’s two decades of industry experience, the leadership team emphasized that the fresh identity reflects a longstanding conviction: that precise, creatively sharp ideas are essential for brands cutting through generic category norms in fast-paced markets.
