DATA.BET, a leading B2B sportsbook solution supplier, has reported a massive acceleration in its esports vertical for the Q1 of 2026.

DATA.BET, a leading B2B sportsbook solution supplier, has reported a massive acceleration in its esports vertical for the Q1 of 2026.

Building on trends identified in the company’s recent Sportsbook Report, the Q1 results confirm that esports is no longer a niche curiosity but a primary driver of commercial growth for modern operators.

GGR Doubles as Player Behavior Matures

The metrics for Q1 2026 are striking. Compared to the same period last year, Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) nearly doubled, and turnover surged by 70.6%. This growth was bolstered by a significant improvement in margin efficiency. Perhaps most telling was the shift in player behavior: total placed bets rose by 33.2%, while combo bets (multiples) saw a dramatic 72.1% jump.

The active player base expanded by 56%, with average bet sizes also increasing—a trend DATA.BET attributes to recent UX improvements in its Single Page Application (iFrame) and a higher volume of premium-segment traffic.

The Rise of Niche Disciplines

While top-tier titles like CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends, and Valorant all posted double-digit growth, the standout story was the performance of niche disciplines. Collectively, these titles saw a 245% increase in profit year-over-year. Rainbow Six emerged as a major success, particularly in Latin America, following the introduction of deeper markets like “Win First Half + Win Map.”

Bohdan Holovnov, Head of Esports at DATA.BET, commented on the Q1 success:

“Q1 of 2026 set a new benchmark for what esports betting can deliver. GGR nearly doubling year over year, combined with a player base growing by more than 56% and increasingly sophisticated betting patterns, suggests the vertical is maturing in exactly the right direction. High margin efficiency has been a real catalyst this quarter. Partners have increasingly recognized that esports can deliver meaningful commercial returns.”

Title-Specific Drivers

Rocket League reported an 85.3% turnover increase QoQ, driven by a industry-leading 94% live coverage conversion rate. Additionally, the Valorant EMEA Clash 2026 proved to be a powerful acquisition tool, with 68.6% of participants being new players to the platform. Official data events grew 5.2% year-over-year, as DATA.BET continues to offer the broadest match coverage in the industry.
