The Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) has signed a partnership renewal with Sportradar for another year for its Integrity and Regulatory Services.

By extending its exclusive partnership with Sportradar, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) makes another step toward the safety aspect of the sport, and they do this by employing the services of Sportradar to safeguard the beautiful game of football and detect potential match-fixing in the upcoming season.

The first agreement signed by these two was back in 2018, and it only proceeds from there. Namely, this fruitful collaboration also partners with other existing agreements forged with other leading football organizations such as FIFA, UEFA, CONMEBOL, the Colombian Football Federation (FCF), and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

To ensure this, Sportradar will apply its state-of-the-art Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) to monitor a little over 8,200 football matches across both the men’s and women’s leagues.

One example of the benefits of using the Sportradar UFDS system is back in 2024, when the company found that the total number of football matches suspected of match-fixing dropped by 48%, whereas at the same time, the number of football matches suspected of match-fixing decreased by 17%

Andreas Krannich, Executive VP of Integrity & Regulatory Services at Sportradar, commented on the development and highlighted the benefits of these two respective brands extending their collaboration:

We have built a strong collaboration with CBF to reinforce the integrity of Brazilian football. With this new agreement, Sportradar is providing the most comprehensive coverage Brazilian football has ever had. We are very pleased to continue this partnership with one of the world’s most renowned football organizations.

Ednaldo Rodrigues, President of Confederação Brasileira de Futebol, said that this partnership, complemented by FIFA, will monitor more than 10,000 football matches for the upcoming season, expressing pride in such a monumental milestone.

The work of the CBF’s Integrity Unit, in collaboration with Sportradar, will complement monitoring by FIFA and result in more than 10,000 Brazilian football matches being covered this season. It’s an impressive and symbolic milestone that makes us very proud. This is a partnership that has been bearing fruit and has been crucial in the fight against match-fixing, ensuring a fairer and safer environment for the sport.
