Betsson Group has officially rebranded its business in Lithuania, changing the well-known Betsafe brand to its main global name, Betsson.

This rebrand is part of Betsson’s plan to bring all its operations under one name, making the brand more consistent across markets and building greater trust with customers.

Betsafe has been active in Lithuania since 2016, offering a wide range of betting and gaming services, including sports betting, casino, and live casino. The brand earned strong recognition in the Baltic region but will now operate under the Betsson banner, following the operator’s recent decision to streamline its brand portfolio in selected markets.

Jesper Svensson, Chief Executive Officer of Bettson Group, commented:

Our objective is to build one strong, unified brand that players recognise across markets. Rebranding in Lithuania is a key step in strengthening Betsson’s presence in this important European market.

The change is primarily cosmetic on the player-facing side. Existing Betsafe customers will retain access to their accounts, funds, bonuses, and gameplay history, now under the Betsson environment.

Betsson has also assured that all regulatory obligations will continue to be met in full, with no service disruption during the brand transition.

The move signals Betsson’s long-term commitment to Lithuania, which has proven to be a high-performing market with solid growth potential.

Lithuania’s regulatory clarity, digital infrastructure, and responsible gaming framework have attracted significant attention from leading European operators.

Rebranding also allows Betsson to deploy pan-European marketing strategies more efficiently. By consolidating multiple local brands into one international name, the company reduces complexity in advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate partnerships. It also gives Betsson more power to differentiate itself from competitors in a fragmented digital betting landscape.

With this change, Betsson joins a growing list of major operators choosing consolidation over diversification—a clear sign of maturing strategies in regulated iGaming markets.
