The LeoVegas Group continues with its community support actions by donating €10,000 ($10,400) to L-Istrina, an annual Boxing Day telethon organized by the MCCFF (Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation).

LeoVegas Group’s donation was presented live during the L-Istrina telethon. What is particularly interesting is that this is not the first time LeoVegas has participated in the Boxing Day telethon.

Last year’s edition of the L-Istrina charity raised a record €5.28 million, and LeoVegas is one of those companies that also contributed.

By donating to the MCCFF, the LeoVegas Group supports funding for those in need, including children, providing them with access to costly or rare medical treatments.

L-Istrina is an annual fundraiser and a tradition in Malta since 1995 with the aim of uniting the country to support disadvantaged individuals, an event that is frequently supported by leading companies with a base of operations in Malta.

Stefan Nelson, Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director at LeoVegas Group Malta commented on the decision to support this noble initiative:

L-Istrina is a cherished Maltese tradition that brings the whole island together in support of individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. We are honoured to contribute to an initiative that improves the lives of so many. This donation is part of the Group’s broader commitment to support the communities we are proud to be a part of.

Carl Brincat, Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs at LeoVegas Group, echoed the sentiment of Nelson and stated that the company is always at the forefront of such initiatives, referring to the recent partnership with EGBA that will see enhanced industry standards in regulatory compliance and safer gambling, particularly in the Nordic countries:

As a company committed to safer gambling and technological innovation, we look forward to contributing our expertise to EGBA’s important work. This partnership aligns perfectly with our vision of leading the way towards a sustainable and well-regulated gambling industry in Europe.

LeoVegas announced its membership with the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) on December 16th, 2024. This historic partnership is set to drastically improve industry standards across Europe with a special emphasis on safer gambling and regulatory compliance, with a special focus on the Nordic iGaming markets.
