Payz

Digital wallet from PSI-Pay, formerly ecoPayz, FCA authorised and used for online payments and gambling deposits.

The Payz Story

Payz is a digital wallet run by PSI-Pay Ltd, a UK payment institution. The product carries a long lineage: it began as the Eco Card in 2000, became ecoPayz in 2013, and was renamed Payz in mid 2023, keeping the same licence, accounts and features through each change. It is based in Horsham, United Kingdom, and PSI-Pay holds an Electronic Money Institution authorisation from the UK Financial Conduct Authority and it ranks as a principal member of Mastercard. Payz is used to pay online, move money between users and fund gambling accounts, and it is available across a wide list of countries and currencies, which is part of why it took hold as a deposit method in iGaming. It presents itself as a single global account for people who want one wallet across many sites.

Accounts and Cards

Tiered Accounts

Payz offers wallet accounts that climb through verification tiers: completing more identity checks lifts limits and unlocks features, a banded structure carried over unchanged from the ecoPayz days and familiar to long standing users. Higher tiers lower fees and lift transfer and withdrawal limits, which matters for players moving larger amounts.

Cards and Currencies

Through its Mastercard membership, PSI-Pay can issue prepaid and debit cards linked to a wallet, letting a balance be spent in shops and online, and the account supports a broad set of currencies, which suits players funding operators in different regions without constant conversion.

Transfers and Withdrawals

The wallet supports money transfers and withdrawals, and across gambling sites that list it the wallet handles both funding and cashouts, with money usually returning to the same Payz balance.

Regulation and Use

Payz's main reference points are its regulatory standing and its continuity. As an FCA authorised electronic money institution, passported across the EU, and a Mastercard principal member, it carries the licensing operators expect of a payment partner. The 2023 rename from ecoPayz changed the brand and visual identity without touching the licence, customer balances or feature set, and existing accounts moved across automatically. In iGaming it has long been a familiar wallet, so its standing rests on an established account base rather than a fresh launch trying to win acceptance. The practical takeaway for players and operators is simple: Payz and the former ecoPayz are the same service under a newer name, with the same rails behind it. That continuity means its long record in the sector carried over to the new brand intact.
