According to a report issued by Sensor Tower, a leading company that specializes in mobile app download data, app analysis, and ad performance insights, 23 million users have downloaded and installed the FanDuel sportsbook and casino app between 2020 and 2024.

More specifically, between January 2020 and December 2024, 23 million users downloaded FanDuel’s app, which is more than any other operator in the US online gaming market.

FanDuel is a household name in the realm of online sports betting, as this leading iGaming brand has spent 10 years nurturing cutting-edge daily fantasy sports services (DFS), thus monetizing its platform via various prize money incentives and championships.

One indicator of the magnitude and influence of FanDuel on the US iGaming scene is the Super Bowl in 2025, where the company reported a whopping 16.6 million bets during this single event.

Second on the rankings as the most downloaded casino app is the biggest competitor of FanDuel in North America, DraftKings, which was downloaded by a hefty 21 million users, showing that the company is right behind in terms of users and engagement.

This is visible in the financial report of the company, as due to its title as one of the top two operators when it comes to DFS markets and sports betting, DraftKings is expected to generate a hefty revenue of $6.4 billion in 2025.

From here, third place is reserved for PrizePicks with 13 million downloads, whereas BetMGM is ranked fourth with 9 million downloads.

When it comes to DFS-focused apps, DraftKings Fantasy takes first place with 8.9 million downloads, followed closely by Underdog Fantasy with 6.2 million downloads, showing the domination of DraftKings in the DFS market-focused realm.

The list of the next five most downloaded DFS apps after FanDuel and DraftKings looks like this:

  • DraftKings Fantasy – 8.9 million
  • Underdog Fantasy – 6.2 million
  • Caesars Sportsbook & Casino – 5 million
  • Duel Fantasy – 5.8 million
  • ESPN Bet – 4.9 million
