Grupo Aposta Ganha and Betby have received the neccessary accreditation to operate legally within Brazil’s newly-regulated gaming and betting market that officially launched on the 1st of January 2024.

Grupo Aposta Ganha has already been active in Brazil for six years and has received registration number 0022 in the Betting Management System (SIGAP) of Brazil.

This leading Brazilian operator has a base of operations stationed in São Paulo, similar to another giant, Stake, and aims to deliver localized gaming services and experiences to Brazilians living in the most populous city in the country.

By receiving this approval, Aposta Ganha is now ready to provide its services in full compliance with the regulatory framework in Brazil which is mostly based on consumer protection and responsible gambling.

Rene Santos, Co-CEO of Groupo Aposta Ganha, commented on the accreditation and praised the new Brazilian regulatory framework as it promises to “bring stronger consumer protection and market integrity”.

Strict criteria laid out in the application will bring stronger consumer protection and market integrity. Our hard work has seen us join an exclusive tier of companies authorized to offer an entertaining and 100% secure gaming experience throughout the country.

*Interesting fact: Betby and Aposta Ganha are among the first to receive accreditation and meet the new regulatory framework issued by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Brazilian Ministry of Finance.

Betby has also been approved by the government after receiving certification from the GLI (Gaming Laboratories International) in December 2024. This document confirms that the company is compliant with Brazil’s new technical standards for sportsbook operations, platform functionality, and information security.

Betby is known for offering specialized sportsbook solutions specifically for the Brazilian market, and this also features localized themes and designs to match Brazil’s rich sports history, namely football.

Ilze Ramolina, Head of Legal at Betby, said that by securing GLI certification, the company shows its commitment to “integrity, compliance, and long-term success” in the country.

Brazil represents one of the most dynamic and high-potential markets globally. Securing GLI certification underscores our commitment to integrity, compliance and long-term success in this region.
