Evolution

Stockholm B2B live casino supplier founded in 2006, Nasdaq listed, licensed across the MGA, UK and many markets.

The Evolution Group

Evolution, listed as Evolution AB, is the largest B2B live casino supplier in the industry and one of the biggest companies in iGaming. It was founded in 2006 by Jens von Bahr and Fredrik Osterberg and is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with production studios across Europe, North America and Latin America. The company develops and licenses live dealer casino content to online operators, and it is listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm exchange, which makes it one of the few publicly traded suppliers in this directory and subject to the reporting that listing brings.

How Evolution Grew

Evolution opened its first dedicated studio early on and added a Malta studio in 2014 before listing on the Stockholm exchange in 2015. From a single live casino specialist it has grown into a group employing more than 22,000 people, and it has expanded by acquiring other content studios, broadening from live dealer content into other formats through those brands. That scale, and its standing as a listed company, shape how it operates, with a global studio network and the governance expected of a major public business. Through those acquisitions it also brought several established studio brands under one owner, broadening its content beyond live dealer tables.

Licensing Across Markets

Evolution is licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority and across a long list of jurisdictions including the United Kingdom, Belgium, Canada, Romania and South Africa, as well as multiple regulated states in the United States. Holding licences across so many markets is central to its business, since live casino content is delivered into tightly regulated environments. Its content is certified to the standards each market requires, and the breadth of that regulatory coverage is one of the things that separates it from smaller suppliers.

Reach and Delivery

As a live casino supplier, Evolution delivers content streamed from its studios directly into operators' sites, integrated through its own technology rather than only through third party aggregators. Operators across regulated markets worldwide carry its content, and delivery depends on a network of studios and the streaming and data infrastructure behind them. That infrastructure heavy model, with large physical studios and live staff, is a key difference from the purely software based studios elsewhere in this directory. Its scale also means a large share of live casino content in regulated markets runs on Evolution technology, which is part of why operators treat it as a default live supplier.
