Historic Collaboration Introduces Real-Time Data-Sharing with the ITIA and Sets New Standards for Fan Engagement and Integrity in Tennis
The United States Tennis Association (USTA) and Kalshi have officially announced a multi-year partnership, designating Kalshi as the Official Prediction Market Partner of the US Open. Commencing with the launch of the 2026 US Open Singles Main Draw, the agreement brings Kalshi’s platform visibility across official digital channels and on-court branding throughout the tournament.
Pioneering Fan Engagement Amid Rapid Growth
The partnership arrives amid explosive growth for prediction markets within professional sports. Tennis trading volume on Kalshi has surged 25-fold year-over-year, driven by millions of active platform users utilizing event contracts to interact with tournament outcomes.
USTA CEO Craig Tiley emphasized the organization’s forward-looking approach:
“We’re relentless about keeping tennis at the cutting edge of global sports innovation and fan connection. Partnering with Kalshi gives us an opportunity to pioneer that next generation of fan engagement while ensuring the integrity of our sport.”
Echoing this sentiment, Kalshi Co-Founder and CEO Tarek Mansour highlighted the local connection:
“Every summer the US Open takes over New York, and as a New York company, we’re proud to be part of it. Tennis is one of the fastest-growing sports on Kalshi, with fans using our markets to understand what’s happening throughout the tournament. We’re proud to partner with the USTA to give fans even more ways to engage with the game they love.”
Comprehensive Integrity Framework and Real-Time Surveillance
To safeguard competitive fairness, the USTA and Kalshi have established a robust integrity framework tailored to the evolving prediction market landscape. Under the terms of the agreement, specific markets deemed to carry integrity risks, such as umpire decisions and code violations, will be strictly restricted.
Furthermore, Kalshi has entered into a confidential real-time data-sharing agreement with the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) for continuous market surveillance. This mechanism operates alongside the USTA’s multi-layered strategy, which encompasses proactive monitoring, stakeholder education, and strict compliance enforcement.
