What SiGMA Play Is

SiGMA Play is the affiliate and comparison arm of SiGMA Group, the Malta founded iGaming events and media business established by Eman Pulis in 2014. Where the rest of the group serves the industry, SiGMA Play is the one property in the portfolio that addresses players directly, publishing ranked lists and reviews of online casinos, sportsbooks and poker rooms.

SiGMA Play launched in 2022. It is an affiliate site, which means the operators it lists are commercial partners it earns a commission from. That relationship is disclosed on the site, and the disclosure is quoted in full below.

Within SiGMA Group it sits alongside SiGMA News, the group’s trade publication running since 2014, and the summit series across Europe, North America, South America, Asia, South Asia, Africa and Eurasia. The group states it has over 450 employees and offices in Malta, Limassol, Manila, Sao Paulo, Yerevan and Belgrade.

Casino and Sportsbook Rankings

The core of the site is a set of ranked operator lists, segmented by market. Each entry carries a rating out of five alongside structured fields covering payment methods, bonus wagering, payout time, launch date, minimum deposit, game count, maximum payout and licences held. Entries are individually bylined with a named reviewer.

Gamblers Connect counted more than 110 operator entries across the market specific tables at the time of review. SiGMA Play does not publish a total count.

Separate sections index offers by bonus type, covering welcome bonuses, free spins, non sticky bonuses, high roller bonuses and cashback, and by deposit method, covering Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, Neosurf, Paysafecard and Bitcoin. Free Games, Blog and ADR Play

A free casino games section offers demo play without registration. A blog carries longer form player facing content. The site also runs a section labelled ADR Play, indicating alternative dispute resolution material, which is an unusual inclusion for a comparison site and one of the few features that distinguishes it structurally from its competitors.

Markets and Editions

Rather than running separate country domains, SiGMA Play serves market specific ranked lists from the same property, with a location selector and localised copy. At the time of review Gamblers Connect identified seven distinct market tables, each carrying the licensing authorities relevant to that jurisdiction:

And a global list carrying rupee denominated offers aimed at an India facing audience.

Italian and Spanish language copy appears on the respective market tables. Norway and Sweden surface as suggested searches on the site.

Regulatory Position

SiGMA Play holds a New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement affiliate licence, announced by the group, and has stated a launch of affiliate marketing activity in Tennessee. Affiliate licensing is required in several regulated US states and is a meaningful differentiator, since a substantial share of comparison sites operating in those markets do not hold one.

It has also acquired at least one competing property, the affiliate site CasinoBee, which the group announced separately.

How SiGMA Play Makes Money

The site publishes an affiliate disclaimer. Gamblers Connect reproduces it in full rather than paraphrasing, because the wording carries a commitment that goes further than most disclosures in this category:

“Our content includes affiliate links. While we may earn a commission on registrations and deposits made through these links, it is important to note that SiGMA Play only recommends licensed casinos that adhere to relevant regulations. The commitment to list only licensed operators is a stated editorial standard rather than a verified one, and Gamblers Connect has not independently tested it against the full operator list.

Where It Sits

SiGMA Play is unusual in this directory for being the affiliate arm of a company whose primary business is elsewhere. Most comparison sites of comparable scale are standalone businesses or belong to affiliate groups. SiGMA Play belongs to an events and trade media group, which gives it distribution and industry relationships that an independent site would have to build from nothing.

Whether that proximity is an advantage or a complication depends on the reader’s position. For an operator, a listing sits close to the group’s commercial relationships. For a player, the group’s separate roles are not visible from the page. Gamblers Connect notes the structure without drawing a conclusion from it, and readers should weigh it themselves.

Its distinguishing features against the rest of the category are the multi market licensing detail carried in each listing, the named reviewer bylines, the New Jersey affiliate licence, and the ADR section. Its gaps are the absence of a documented scoring methodology and the absence of a dedicated responsible gambling resource at site level.
