Corey Goodman Stepping Up Permanently After Stabilization Period, Alongside New Interim CFO and VP of Compliance Appointments
NorthStar Gaming Holdings has announced a significant restructuring of its executive leadership team, naming interim chief executive officer Corey Goodman to the permanent CEO position. Goodman, who initially stepped into the interim role in December 2025, has successfully guided the organization through a critical period of operational and financial stabilization.
Leadership Transitions in Finance and Compliance
Alongside Goodman’s permanent appointment, NorthStar has introduced key updates across its finance and compliance departments following the resignation of chief financial officer Chin Dhushenthen on August 17, 2026. Dhushenthen will remain with the company in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transition and assist with ongoing financial audits.
Stepping into the financial leadership role is Ben Powell, who takes over as interim CFO. A CFA charterholder, Powell has been with NorthStar since its inception, previously supporting corporate financing and capital-raising initiatives. Additionally, Krisztina Kalla has joined the executive team as vice president of compliance, taking charge of all regulatory and compliance-related matters.
Focus on Financial Reporting and Outstanding Audits
Since taking on the interim leadership post, Goodman has focused heavily on addressing NorthStar’s outstanding audits and corporate reporting requirements. To further support these efforts, the company has engaged a chartered professional accountant as an external consultant.
Davidson & Company is currently scheduled to complete financial statement audits for the fiscal years ending December 31, 2023, 2024, and 2025 later this year.
Reflecting on the leadership changes, Dean MacDonald, Chair of NorthStar’s board, praised Goodman’s impact:
“Corey has brought focus and discipline to the Company at a pivotal time, and the Board has full confidence in his leadership as NorthStar completes its outstanding financial reporting and continues to strengthen the business.”
Corey Goodman also welcomed the new executive additions, stating:
“I am also pleased to welcome Ben and Krisztina to their new roles, and I am confident that the strengthened finance and compliance functions will serve the Company well as we move forward.”
