Strategic Expansion Plans Unveiled for Emerging African Gaming Hub
Malta-based B2B casino games provider Booming Games has officially marked its second anniversary in South Africa, setting a strategic target to become the market’s leading games provider within the next one to two years, according to an official corporate statement released on July 14, 2026.
Since making its initial entry into the South African regulated gaming market in July 2024, the supplier has steadily scaled its operational presence. The provider has evolved from working with a single partner relationship to establishing commercial agreements with multiple tier-one operators across the African continent.
A Multi-Province Footprint and Rapid Local Growth
Booming Games has achieved extensive reach in South Africa, with more than 145 of its slot titles fully tested, approved, and live. The supplier’s games are currently active across key regional jurisdictions, including:
- Mpumalanga
- Western Cape
- Eastern Cape
To support this distribution, the supplier has doubled the size of its local workforce over the past two years, with plans to expand its local headcount even further in the coming months. This ongoing development is bolstered by industry recognition, with Booming Games securing shortlists at both the SiGMA Africa Awards and the iGA Summit Awards earlier this year.
Operator Collaborations and Product Innovation
A central component of Booming Games’ regional success is its close, collaborative relationship with local operator partners, allowing the company to build an effective feedback loop directly with players.
Solomon Godwin, Head of Africa at Booming Games, highlighted the importance of this operator-centric approach:
“Close partnerships with operators is central to our ability to innovate and deliver at speed. These collaborations allow us to establish a comprehensive feedback loop that informs future games. Put simply, we listen to our punters through our partners.”
This collaborative strategy was highlighted by a partnership announced last month with World Sports Betting (WSB), one of the region’s premier operators. Under the agreement, a curated selection of Booming Games’ popular titles will be integrated directly into WSB’s digital platform.
Localized Content and Strategic Revenue Drivers
Looking ahead, Booming Games plans to expand its legal footprint into every remaining South African province. The company aims to increase its investments in local resources, strengthen operator partnerships, and target new aggregator platforms entering the regional market.
To support these growth objectives, the company is diversifying its game development pipeline by introducing localized titles specifically designed for the African player base. Additionally, the supplier is building new games across the high-demand crash and instant-win categories while rolling out updates to its existing slot catalog.
Max Niehusen, Founder of Booming Games, emphasized the financial and strategic value of the jurisdiction:
“South Africa already drives the largest proportion of our revenues in Africa, and as we celebrate two successful years here, we are well placed to build out our offering even further over the years ahead.”
