Industry Veteran to Lead Commercial Expansion and Compliance Frameworks Across Brazil and Emerging Latin American Markets
Digital mobile games provider PG Soft has appointed Hugo Baungartner as General Manager LatAm to accelerate its commercial trajectory across the region.
Baungartner will assume direct responsibility for driving PG Soft’s business expansion throughout Latin America. A core focus of his role will involve leading the software provider’s operational strategy in Brazil, a high-growth jurisdiction where the company has already secured a significant market share. The region is currently navigating a critical regulatory phase, complicated by an upcoming pivotal election.
Leveraging Decades of Experience and Regulatory Networks
Baungartner steps into the role with more than 29 years of specialized experience across the technology and gaming sectors. His previous executive background includes leadership positions at Grupo Aposta Ganha, RCT Gaming, Prohards, and most recently, Esportes Gaming Brasil.
Throughout his career, Baungartner has developed an extensive networking layer within Latin America’s complex regulatory landscape. He has established operational relationships with key regulators, public entities, and industry associations, including:
- Brazil: The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA/MF), the Federal Revenue Service, and COAF.
- Mexico: Dirección General de Juegos y Sorteos and AIEJA (the Mexican Gaming Association).
This compliance-first network provides PG Soft with a distinct advantage as Latin American jurisdictions continue to formalize and tighten their legal frameworks for online gaming.
Strategic Presence and Executive Perspectives
PG Soft‘s ongoing investment in major regional events highlights its long-term commercial commitment to the territory. Earlier this year, the supplier served as a prominent sponsor for the BiS SiGMA South America expo held in São Paulo, reinforcing its brand visibility among local operators.
Commenting on his new appointment, Hugo Baungartner highlighted the latent potential awaiting the studio’s mobile-first library:
“PG Soft’s brand needs no introduction in Latin America thanks to its extensive portfolio of world-class, mobile-first games that resonate strongly with players. The company is only just getting started in the region, and I look forward to building on its success in Brazil while expanding PG Soft’s presence across regulated markets throughout Latin America.”
