slovenia flag casino portoroz partnership

Global slots developer Wazdan has officially entered the regulated Slovenian market after launching its content with Casinò Portorož. The operator runs casino.si, the country’s only licensed online casino, making this a pivotal exclusive partnership for Wazdan’s European expansion.

This launch follows Casinò Portorož receiving a government concession to operate online gaming in Slovenia. Through the agreement, local players now have access to a curated selection of 15 Wazdan titles. The initial rollout features some of the developer’s most popular games, including the 9 Coins™ series, Magic Spins™Power of Gods™: Valhalla, and Sizzling Eggs™.

A Landmark Collaboration

Both parties have framed the partnership as a major step forward for the Slovenian digital gaming landscape. Ksenija Bezek, Head of Online Operations at Casinò Portorož, described the launch of their online offering as a “landmark moment” for the company.

“Partnering with Wazdan allows us to strengthen that debut with a portfolio of proven, high-quality games,” Bezek said. She added that because Wazdan’s titles have a “strong track record in regulated markets,” the operator is confident they will resonate with the new Slovenian player base.

Strategic Expansion

For Wazdan, the deal validates its strategy of targeting regulated jurisdictions with compliant, high-retention content. Radka Bacheva, Head of Sales and Business Development at Wazdan, noted the unique nature of the market.

“Entering Slovenia with Casinò Portorož is an exciting step for Wazdan and aligns perfectly with our strategy of expanding across regulated European markets,” Bacheva commented. She emphasised that as the sole licensed operator, Casinò Portorož provides an “ideal platform to introduce our games to a new audience,” and expressed enthusiasm for building a long-term partnership.
