Independent slot studio Thunderkick has secured a commercial agreement with operator PointsBet to distribute its content in Ontario.

The partnership integrates Thunderkick’s portfolio onto the PointsBet platform, making its titles available to players within the regulated Canadian province immediately.

The deal allows PointsBet’s Ontario user base to access a range of Thunderkick’s slot games. The initial rollout includes recent releases such as Midas Golden Touch 3Esqueleto Explosivo 3, and Carnival Queen 2.

The studio stated that additional titles from its back catalog will be added to the platform in subsequent updates. This integration follows Thunderkick’s technical compliance approvals in the province, where it has operated since receiving its supplier license.

Svante Sahlström, Chief Commercial Officer at Thunderkick, stated that the collaboration aligns with the company’s strategy of deepening its footprint in regulated North American markets rather than pursuing rapid, wide-scale expansion.

Svante Sahlström, CCO at Thunderkick, said: “Since its Canadian launch, PointsBet has forged relationships rooted in the country’s cultural identity, which firmly aligns with Thunderkick’s core philosophy of going deeper, not wider.

“It is a reputable and recognised brand across the globe, and we look forward to supporting its continued North American growth with our class-leading content.”

Sahlström noted that PointsBet’s established presence in Canada made them a logical partner for the studio’s continued growth in the region.

PointsBet, which launched its Ontario operations back in April 2022, continues to diversify its online casino library.

Brooke Hilton, Head of Casino at PointsBet Canada, confirmed that the operator is focused on acquiring content that differentiates its offering in a competitive market. Hilton cited the performance of Thunderkick’s existing titles as a key factor in the decision to integrate the studio’s roadmap.

Brooke Hilton, Head of Casino at PointsBet Canada, added: “PointsBet has made a point of distinguishing itself from the crowd, from our local on-the-ground presence in Ontario to our premium online casino portfolio.

“We strive to partner with the very best, and when it comes to casino content, the addition of Thunderkick’s popular slots will enable us to continue providing players across the province with diverse, impactful gaming experiences.”

This partnership marks another distribution channel for Thunderkick in Ontario, following previous agreements with operators such as PokerStars and LeoVegas. The deal is effective immediately, with the specified game titles now active on the PointsBet Ontario site.
