Grid has announced a major partnership with Sportstensor, the official market maker and liquidity provider for the prediction market platform Polymarket, to enhance and validate esports prediction markets using verified, server-level data.

Under the new agreement, Grid assumes the role of Sportstensor’s official esports data oracle, a critical function in the decentralized ecosystem.

Grid will supply live, rights-compliant information across major esports titles, including Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, and Valorant. This data is sourced directly from Grid’s exclusive partnerships with game publishers and tournament organizers.

In the context of blockchain technology, data oracles serve as secure bridges, transmitting verified real-world information, such as definitive match outcomes, to smart contracts, thus ensuring market settlements are anchored in accurate and tamper-proof data.

Grid asserts that utilizing its official, server-level data will not only expand the integrity of esports prediction markets but also allow for the creation of far more detailed and novel market types.

For example, the depth of data enables predictions on micro-events, such as the total number of chickens eliminated in a CS2 tournament, which can then be automatically verified on-chain.

The partnership reinforces Grid’s position as a leading source of official esports data and aligns with its broader strategy to extend verified in-game information into emerging verticals like prediction markets. This movement supports the development of a more transparent and data-driven digital economy across the entire esports ecosystem.

Dominika Szot, VP of Growth at Grid:

Prediction markets are emerging as one of the fastest-growing frontiers for digital engagement. Esports, a sport digital by nature, is a natural fit within that ecosystem. Integrity in settlement is critical, and official data provides the foundation to ensure predictions remain fair, transparent and tamper-proof while adding new dimensions of entertainment value.

Leo Chan, Co-Founder and CEO of Sportstensor:

Prediction markets depend on trust, not just between traders, but in the accuracy of outcomes that underpin every contract. Partnering with Grid ensures our esports markets are settled using verified, rights-compliant data straight from the source. That allows us to design richer and more engaging markets for Polymarket users, uniquely enabled by official data.
