Global sports betting operator Tipico has released its 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing significant progress in its commitment to responsible gaming, employee development, and environmental action.

The Environmental Social and Governance report highlights the company’s efforts to build a sustainable and forward-looking organization.

A key achievement outlined in the report is Tipico’s performance in responsible gaming. In 2024, the company successfully maintained the share of its turnover generated by potentially problematic gambling behavior below 1.5%.

In addition to this, the operator launched its first nationwide responsible gaming TV campaign, which reached over four million viewers, and continued its support for research and treatment programs.

The report also emphasized the company’s focus on its more than 2,300 employees from 87 different countries. In 2024, Tipico delivered over 15,000 hours of training with a strong focus on leadership development and career growth for its team members.

On the environmental front, Tipico is making steady progress toward its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.

The company reported a 41% reduction in its Scope 2 CO2e emissions compared to the previous year and received an ISO 14001:2015 certification for its Environmental Management System.

CEO Axel Hefer commented on the report, stating:

This ESG report reflects our commitment to long-term value creation… and it shows that growth and responsibility go hand in hand at Tipico.

CFO Christian Wurzinger added that the company’s strategy puts “consumer protection, integrity and our people at the core of all our operations.” The release of the report follows other 2025 milestones for Tipico, including new partnerships with Zealand and Games Global.
