The prominent US sports betting and gaming operator, DraftKings, has announced the launch of a new responsible gaming feature named “My Budget Builder.”
This innovative tool is designed to provide players with a proactive and personalized way to manage their gaming activity and maintain control over their spending.
Accessible through the DraftKings app and the online Responsible Gaming Center, the “My Budget Builder” allows users to set a variety of customized limits and reminders.
Players can create a personalized budget based on several metrics, including deposit amounts, total wagers, maximum wager size, and overall loss limits.
The tool also enables users to manage their time spent on the platform, as well as the number of contest entries and associated fees.
This new feature is designed to work in conjunction with the existing “My Stat Sheet” tool, which offers players a clear overview of their gaming history.
Lori Kalani, Chief Responsible Gaming Officer at DraftKings, emphasized the tool’s proactive design. “My Budget Builder is a new kind of Responsible Gaming tool—intuitive, proactive, and personalized,” Kalani stated. “It reflects our ongoing commitment to creating fun, enjoyable environments for our players. By enhancing how players engage with limit-setting, we are providing another resource that players can use to help them play responsibly.”
The launch of this player protection tool comes as the company reports a period of significant growth. For the first quarter of 2025, DraftKings posted revenue of $1.41 billion, a 20 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Its number of Monthly Unique Payers also grew to 4.3 million, marking a 28 percent year-over-year rise.
