International Game Technology (IGT) has signed a major eight-year deal with Atlantic Lottery to deploy its next-generation IntelligenEVO video lottery central system.

The agreement, finalized through IGT’s Canadian subsidiary, marks the first deployment of the IntelligenEVO platform by a World Lottery Association (WLA) member in a game-to-system (G2S) distributed market.

The new system will be rolled out across video lottery terminals in all four Atlantic Canadian provinces and includes options for multiple renewals.

Designed to modernize operations, IntelligenEVO offers advanced features like real-time data capture, player-centric functionalities, and powerful analytics capabilities.

Michael MacKinnon, Vice President of Product at Atlantic Lottery, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating that the system will not only enhance security and player experience but also support greater returns to community causes.

David Flinn, IGT’s Senior Vice President in Canada, described IntelligenEVO as a scalable, future-ready platform shaped by decades of industry insight.

While IGT reported a challenging first quarter in 2025—highlighted by a 12% year-over-year revenue decline to $583 million and a 93% drop in income from continuing operations—the company remains focused on long-term investment and innovation. The earnings dip was largely attributed to rebranding costs and lower jackpot activity in the U.S.

Nevertheless, IGT continues to push forward. In March, the company secured a €1 billion ($1.1 billion) loan, half of which is reserved for the Italian Lottery licence tender.

Additionally, IGT received an iCAP Ready certification from the National Council on Problem Gambling, reinforcing its commitment to responsible gaming.

The IntelligenEVO rollout is part of IGT’s broader global strategy to enhance lottery and gaming infrastructure with secure, cloud-based, and responsible solutions.
