Sport Club Corinthians Paulista has finalized a massive sponsorship agreement with betting operator “Esportes da Sorte,” securing one of the most lucrative deals in Brazilian football history.
The contract, valid through 2029, guarantees the club at least R150 million annually, with performance−based incentives potentially pushing the value to R200 million per year.
Financial Structure and Flexibility
The new deal represents a significant financial upgrade from the previous contract, which paid R103 million per season. Unlike the former agreement, which allocated R57 million specifically for player costs, including R$21 million for signing bonuses tied to forward Memphis Depay, this new contract offers total financial flexibility.
The funds are not earmarked for specific players, allowing the club to allocate revenue according to its own targets.
Broad Brand Exposure
The partnership extends beyond the men’s first team. “Esportes da Sorte” will hold master sponsorship positions for Corinthians’ basketball, volleyball, futsal, and women’s football teams. The contract includes provisions that allow other firms to take the main shirt position for these sports if new sponsors emerge, with Esportes da Sorte moving to other jersey positions while maintaining economic compensation for the club.
Future Projections
With the new deal in effect, Corinthians Paulista has budgeted R255 million in total annual sponsorship revenue for 2026, a 47200 million ceiling, solidifying Corinthians’ commercial standing in the region.
